Colt was raised in Tennessee and moved to Bryan/College Station at 16. After serving in the U.S. Army, he met his wife Arielle and has three wonderful kids. He is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Christian ministry and leadership at Randall University. Colt serves as the Associate Pastor of Bright Light and Ministry Leader for Celebrate Recovery at Bright Light.

Katie was baptized and became a member of Bright Light Church on February 25th, 2024. She attended Sam Houston State University and graduated with a Bachelors of English, becoming an author and editor for many publications. In her free time, Katie can be found spending time outdoors, hiking with her dogs, writing or reading.

Arielle is a mom of three who was born and raised in the Brazos Valley. With quite the eclectic professional background, her forever passion raising her children and living her life as closely with the will of God as possible.

Joe Montez moved to Texas 4 years ago to retire with his wife Lili and to be with their oldest son, to serve the Lord at Bright light Free Will Baptist Church.

Joe and Lili have been married for 52 years and have 3 grown children, along with 4 grandchildren. All of which would never have been possible without our Lord Jesus Christ, praise be to our Lord Jesus for his mercy and love.

He very much enjoys fixing, repairing and doing odd jobs around the church. Joe’s hobbies are fixing and repairing computers. However, his greatest joy is working and maintaining the church grounds and church cemetery. 

Joe Retired from 40 years in the manufacturing of extruded and injection molding plastics industry.

He was the Director of Quality Assurance and manufacturing in the plastic industry. 

Joe successfully completed courses at Cerritos college in ISO 9001 (International Organization for Standardization) & Quality Management Practices.

He also completed Management courses at UCLA in California.

The Goen name is rich in Bright Light's history. Clyde is a fourth generation deacon in Bright Light and he has been a member of this church practically since birth. He served in the U.S. Army from 1966-69.  

Clyde retired as Battalion Chief from Bryan Fire Department He served the citizens of Bryan from 1979 to 2005. He has been a cattle rancher for most of his life and is still quite active in this endeavor.

He began teaching the adult Bible study during the 1980s and was ordained as a deacon in 1996. He has acted as an unofficial interim pastor when needed.

 Bright Light is forever grateful for Clyde and his wife Genia who have taken the church through the difficult times without a pastor. 

Rory has been with Bright Light for twenty-five years. He is retired now and enjoys listening to music, gardening, fishing, hunting, cooking, hiking, camping and simply enjoying nature. 

He is just about the handiest person to be around when you need something fixed or built. 

Rory also loves to teach others as he does what he enjoys. He will be happy to walk you through whatever it is that could be the issue and is always there to help. 

Bright Light is thankful for Rory's servant heart and his willingness to always get his hands dirty when necessary. He is a great example to the congregation.
